Ironically, it has taken technology as a tool to provide and remind us once again that more than ever how personal core values remain as important as ever whether at real world or virtual space. The quest to find meaning is as strong as ever and nowhere in history has this been as collective and interconnected now more than any other time. It is as if more than intellect, true success stories are but another facet of connecting with passions and pursuing them despite the costs but careful not to upset social balance towards inequality (or lack of concern towards plight of others).

Resist the Urge To Not Play
I'm becoming an info hog. But only because I can barely get out of the heap....
Why Play is Vital, no matter your age!
And Why Play Games? Why not?
On the lookout for a netbook (likely identical except for the brand) that is a smart spend like me? Check out PixelQi. Nudging the Kindle targets and not to mention, more e-reading. Yes!
Sun (till Oracle blots it out) shines light on Clouds at JavaOne. No killer app yet, no problem.
Microsoft's massive unloading. Recession and likely because of, uhmm, open source

Fast on the Draw
Quick:
Q. What's the fastest way to improve quality of learning, make information more memorable and make your ideas easier to share with others (and probably, get the longest recall)?

A: Going Visual, of course. (We're all kids when it comes to learning and visuals/drawings transmit a lot more information in less scribbles than a handful of notes).
Anyway, if you've got some dough to spare, you may want to check this out and spend for something of value - the Visual Note-Taking 101 course.
I know what you're thinking. Even drawing stick figures can be tough for you. So? That is beside the point. But if you're not ready to get your pencils wet? Check out the amazing course authors' blogs and get a glimpse of their amazing work.

Perverted
What is not to like when you can see sexy celebrity finally without the skimpy outfits she's famous for, without the usual brand ads hovering over her pics. Never mind that she's having a private moment with gorgeous doctor - totally proud of exhibiting his manhood and conquests, of unwitting victims for his voyeuristic pleasures. This is what reality tv - sex video is. Though hardly a scandal worth the trouble of government officials' time.
IMHO:
1. Sex is natural human activity. It's happening everywhere whether you want to turn a blind eye or not. Lot of time in your hands and love to watch? Go to web.
2. The 'admitting' part is the concern. Sex + public knowledge with proof = Shame. Shameful, indeed but not the act.
3. Hormones. Tough to wage a battle against it; threat of excommunication, notwithstanding.
4. Seen one, seen all. Just a few enticing differences in the form of curvatures, maybe. Probably, urge to watch is more out of curiosity (sic) otherwise it's a sick pre-occupation.
5. Let those involved settle this on their own. (Too late I guess). Betrayal of trust is really hurtful and I'm all for seeking redress yet I'm not sure if all the the show of hands from the different branches of government really have the victim's cause in mind. Really, are there no other more pressing national concerns?
Which leads me to ponder if the public officials find celebrities private lives more interesting than say, books? Apparently, we all do especially if we finally have proof that celebrities are just like us. Same needs, quirks and made of flesh and bones, too. (OK, a couple of baths prettier than most of us... Enhanced )
You may want to learn about the frightful book blockade the government has shamefully put us all in, too. (Robin Hemley has made it his crusade.) Yes, there's also video material. Not a given, but hope it arouses something in you to do something out in the open, as humans naturally fond of learning and reading that is.

Geek Mythology
Who doesn't want to be a geek nowadays?
With all the developments in IT, what once was the promise of the future is now already every where - wireless, green, paperless, virtual relationships, etc, etc.
Most of all, tech can readily be accessed by all because they're getting cheaper. Thank you, Mr. Moore.
And it doesn't hurt that Tech receives most of the business money nowadays. So spend those precious time working the keyboards, mate.
10 Books that will substitute for a Computer Science Degree If you think about it, you really don't need to get a degree to be successful with tech ventures. Really. (MSFT, facebook ...)
I'm not sure about the Webby winners having degrees, either.
